Lee County's signature festival honors the banded woolly bear caterpillar, a folk winter predictor. It has woolly worm races (the Sunday champion becomes the year's official weather predictor), a parade, a 100+ vehicle car show, a youth pet show, a cornhole tournament and two stages of bluegrass and local music.
